Korean is a language that builds layer by layer, each week introduces new grammar, vocabulary, and conversation patterns. Missing too many lessons can make it harder to keep up, but we understand that life happens. Here’s what you can expect and how to manage your progress if you need to miss a class.
🔹 Recommended Attendance for Smooth Progress
To maintain steady improvement, students should aim to attend at least 80–100% of their classes each term.
Missing 1–2 classes in a full course is generally manageable, especially if you:
- Review the weekly class notes
- Watch the revision video (if provided for your class type)
- Join a replacement class as a silent student
- Ask your teacher questions in the WhatsApp group
With the right support, you can still stay on track.
🔹 What Happens If You Miss More Than 2 Classes?
Once you miss 3 or more classes, you may start feeling:
- Gaps in grammar understanding
- Difficulty following new topics
- Lower speaking confidence
- Trouble keeping up with the class pace
At this point, we highly recommend:
- Attending replacement classes
- Reviewing notes in detail
- Asking your teacher for guidance
- Watching revision videos (if applicable)
This helps close the gap before it becomes overwhelming.
🔹 Missing Consecutive Weeks
Missing back-to-back weeks can affect your learning more significantly. Korean grammar builds on previous lessons, so skipping consecutive sessions may cause:
- Confusion with sentence structure
- Difficulty remembering patterns
- Feeling lost in conversation practices
If this happens, inform the admin team, they can:
- Recommend suitable replacement options
- Suggest revision strategies
- Advise whether continuing or repeating the level is better
We will help you make the best decision for your progress.
🔹 Replacement Options to Help You Keep Up
Depending on your class type, you may receive:
- Up to 2 replacement classes per month (silent student mode)
- Class notes
- Teacher guidance in WhatsApp group
- Revision videos (Conversation & Intensive classes only)
Using these supports makes a big difference in staying aligned with your class.
