What Should I Do If I Can’t Attend a Class?

If you are unable to attend your scheduled class at HH Korean, please don’t worry, we have several support options depending on the type of class you are enrolled in. We want to ensure you can still follow the lesson smoothly even if you miss a day.

Below is a complete guide for Regular Group Classes, Private Classes, and Conversation / Intensive Classes.

1. Regular Group Classes

If you cannot attend a regular weekly class, here is what to do:

Step 1 - Inform the Class Group Chat

Please update your teacher and your class group in WhatsApp before the class begins. This helps the teacher plan the lesson flow and know who to expect.

 

Step 2 - Apply for a Replacement Class

You may request a replacement class through the admin team.

Eligibility for regular classes:

• You may apply for up to 2 replacement classes per month
• Replacement classes depend on seat availability
• Replacement is meant to help you catch up, not to switch class days permanently

Admins will help you find a suitable class at the same level.

Step 3 - Join as a Silent Student

All replacement classes must be attended as a silent student:

• Your camera stays OFF
• Your microphone stays OFF
• You join quietly and observe the lesson

This rule protects the learning flow of the classroom you are joining and ensures minimal disruption for existing students.

Step 4 - Catch Up With Notes & Homework

You will receive:

• Weekly class notes
• Homework or practice tasks
• Support from your teacher in the WhatsApp group

If you have questions after reviewing the material, feel free to ask your teacher anytime.

Step 5 - Class Recordings

To protect the privacy of students and teachers, recordings are not provided for regular group classes.
Your learning support will come from the replacement class and class notes.

2. Private Classes

If you are enrolled in a private 1-to-1 class, the process is different:

✔ You may reschedule directly with your teacher
Just message your teacher and request a change of time. Most teachers accept changes if informed early.

✔ Please notify your teacher in advance
This allows the teacher to adjust their schedule and prepare accordingly.

❗ No-shows will still be charged
The teacher has already allocated their time and prepared your personalised lesson.

3. Conversation / Intensive Classes

These classes run at a faster pace with heavier content.

If you miss a session:

• Please inform your teacher beforehand
• You will receive the class recording
• Your class fee will still be charged, as you receive:
  • Class notes
  • Recording
  • All learning materials

These recordings are allowed only for Conversation/Intensive classes due to the unique structure and pace.

If You Miss Class Frequently

Missing too many classes can slow your progress, especially in language learning. If your schedule becomes challenging:

• Talk to the admin team
• We can suggest a more suitable timing
• Or recommend postponing to a future intake
